Homes, Community and Living in Courthouse
Poised for new growth
Long the center of official Arlington as well as a high-technology hub, Courthouse is a gleaming example of a community where business, government, residential and retail combine, to create one of Arlington’s most sought after locations.
Soon, this area will undergo new changes as it welcomes an upscale Marriott Residence Inn, along with a redesigned Courthouse Plaza, which will house a mix of shops and restaurants. With its open-air markets, restaurants, movie theater and neighborhood shops, Courthouse is one of Arlington’s best locations that’s about to get even better.
It is located along the Court House stop of the Metrorail subway system’s Orange line and the newer Silver line.
Courthouse is Arlington’s governmental seat
The area is home to Arlington County’s administrative offices and justice center. It has the dubious distinction of hosting the first known garden-style apartment complexes built in the United States, known as Colonial Village.
